dang… well guess no one looks at this anymore but all of y’all should come to joint praise night. it’s at LC, 3/12/11, and it’s gonna be legit. Justin
yeah well I don’t know if anyone even checks/uses this anymore but if you don’t already know I’m not coming to AKCPC for the next month or so due to praise night. So the next time I’ll see you guys is probably 11/13/10.
EXIT - Anna
The monogram of Christ is formed by interlacing two letters of the Greek alphabet: X (chi) and P (ro), which are the first two letters of the Greek word “Christòs” or Christ. When this monogram was placed on a tombstone, it meant a Christian was buried there.
Hey guys we were able to decide on the name of our youth group, and if you guys have any other ideas feel free to tell us. But for now our name is EXIT.
Remember that the X isn’t really spelled out as “X” there is a p in between the lines. it will be really really cool to put it up as our logo for our youth group! (: either way, hope you guys like this one!
Ann[a] WOW (:
It’s really great to see some of you guys posting up your QT’s! it makes me feel really proud of you guyss. haha, anyways. additional information for this week!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, wear clothes that you guys DO NOT MIND getting paint on!
I would bring over some aprons, but my sisters wouldn’t let me use them for the group.. anyways. Just let everyone else know about the whole painting thing (:
We may have newcomers this following sunday, so be sure to be on your best behaviors!
FYI: remember to put down your name whenever you post up something. Justin did a good job of showing.. but the person below didn’t put their name on it.. so, it would be great to know who posted that!
remember to keep God in your hearts, and let him Guide you. Let him be the WAY. Don’t stress over the next day, because for sure God has plans laid out perfectly for you!
if you guys have any prayer requests, feel free to post them up here! or if they’re private just make sure to email/facebook one of the highschool kids :)
here’s my email: firstname.lastname@example.org

My QT-Justin Kang :)
"In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory, and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed." (Daniel 7:13-15, NIV)
Well I guess this is my QT. I’ve been reading Daniel lately so I decided to just add this passage on. For the questions, I’ll use quotes from the Bible because that’s how I do things.
Who Is God? “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:1-4, NIV)
God is our Father; He leads us and takes care of us. Wherever and whoever we are, He always watches and protects us.
Who Am I? “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.’ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:26-27, NIV)
We were created in the image of God; every time we insult one another we insult God and His works. We were created to praise God and be thankful for creating us and everything He’s done for us.
What Is God Asking Me To Do? “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, the the very end of age.’"(Matthew 28: 18-20, NIV)
God is telling us as Christians to spread the good word to everyone around us, so that they may also achieve salvation, baptizing them in His name. At the end of this verse He tells us that he will always be with us forever, until the end of time. :)
My QT… I guess =ㅂ=…
Yeah~ I’m the first one to post it~ ㅇ(≥ㅁ ≤;)ㅇ
Wait… darn! Kyle beat me!!! ( ノºД˙)ノ
Oh, for the pictures, read it if you can… it’s funny if you can understand it(it’s me chatting with one of my online game friends, turned out, he was crazy for pikachu and he is one year older than me, too >_<b)
Well, I’ve just finished my entire summer reading assignment (I sat in front of the computer for 5 consecutive hours ㅡ.ㅜ) so my neck, back, and butt hurts immensely right now. I can’t believe I still have precal homework and psychology readings/notes I have to finish… and guess what, I have quiz on both of them~ so… par-tey~ ”″`·、＼(´∇`)/,·´″”…yeah right (-_-) I am so tired right now…(づ.-) I don’t have the energy to finish rest of my HW ζ( ´ Д`)η So I’m going to sleep, bye~ べ( ノx _x)ノ
(ιº o º)! Oh right, my QT… he-he… sorry~
So… this is the verse that I read for my QT just now~ (º∇º)v
Matthew 11:25-30 (New International Version)
Rest for the Weary
25At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.
27"All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Who is God: Umm… honestly, I am a non-believer and I don’t have an answer for this question… but judging from these verses, he(or she…) seems to be like a warm place where I can place my weary body and rest (like… right now???)
Who am I: Well, I have asked this question to myself when I was suffering from 중2병(google search if you need to~s( ￣ ∇￣)∠) but it was more philosophical than biblical. I guess for now, I can say that I am a sinner. It seems to me that understanding the reason why I am sinner is an important part in being born again so I’ll try to look think of the reason and actually accept it, if I can… I might reject it though~ (￣ㄷ￣)/
What is God telling me: I think it is straight forward in the title he-he… The Lord is telling me to learn from him and I will find rest for my soul.

For those who hasn’t been to church for awhile, just wanted to update you guys on the fact that we’re starting our worship DOWNSTAIRS. Thanks to numerous prayers from the adults, including us, God was able to open up a doorway for our youth group. It would be great if you guys can find a quick time to have a word with God and thank him for what he has done for us. Even though it’s still going on slowly, I’m sure that with the faith and trust we have in God we can go onward without any doubts.
Guys, also let’s thank Justin Oppa for sacrificing his time in order to nourish us with the word of God, and also to pray for his health! Remember that Justin isn’t the only one who has to praise to our Lord, but we also need to join in and so that our voices can be so loud that the adults can faintly hear it from above and feel our hearts. So next week let’s try our best to sing out loud k?
oh! and btw, the piano, projector, and computer was all transfered downstairs today as well. Hopefully, starting this week we can use the projector for praise and announcements, etc.
alrighty guys, here’s the main point I want to get to.
For those who saw the 1st floor, noticed how it was completely white? well, we can change that :) I wanted to see if anyone was free to meet up on a friday, saturday and get some materials together and decorate our youth sanctuary and rooms. I also have an idea for the entrance. I have a giant canvas and I was thinking we can first paint the words: YG FAM(ILY) on it or something, and paint our hand prints on the sides or around it :) so it’ll be like a tradition looking banner. But if you guys have another idea, feel free to post it up here okay?
(the girls can get together and work on the curtains so that whenever we’re doing praise, we’ll be able to see the screens better without the sunlight glaring into the room.)- get together & look around TARGET, WALMART, or IKEA. ?
I know this sounds overwhelming, especially for us kids in school. But with our teamwork & prayers, i’m sure it’ll work out.
So I was thinking, perhaps one of our “FALL SEMESTER RESOLUTIONS” would be, to decorate our youth rooms.
seriously, if you guys have ANY other ideas or plans, please please please post it up on here. :)
remember that God is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. & to not worry about the tomorrow but of today, for God will guide you the way. love you guys! & god bless.
